Retail sites
without a weekend in the builder.
Hours, catalog, pickup — Store only if you fulfill. We still need your facts.
Page copy missing.
A shopper has your bag in one hand and their phone in the other — or they are on a couch two towns away deciding whether your store is worth the drive. They need hours, what you stock, whether you ship or hold, and a way to call before they waste a trip. A pretty logo on a page with no inventory story loses to a clearer catalog on a smaller brand.
WebSmart builds retail sites as managed, done-for-you websites. When products matter, the Store plan exists for a reason. When the counter is local-only and thin on SKUs, Business or Site may be enough.
Composite scene (labeled composite)
Composite: a typical independent retail owner in a U.S. regional mall-adjacent street or downtown corridor — specialty goods, gift traffic, some repeat locals, a POS that already works in-store, and a website that is either a placeholder or a stalled DIY catalog with six products and forty missing photos.
Composite only. No fake boutique name as a pretended client. No invented sales charts.
Pages we ship for retail
Home What you sell in one breath, who it is for, hours, address, tap-to-call, and a path to shop or browse. Featured goods only if photos exist.
Catalog / shop (Store) Listings with names, short descriptions, prices if you publish them, and inquire-or-buy paths that match how you actually take money. Categories that match the shelves.
Collections / categories Seasonal and evergreen groups without fake scarcity banners unless you truly run timed drops.
About Why the shop exists, sourcing notes if real, repair or return posture at a high level.
Visit Parking, hours, holiday exceptions, events if you host them.
Contact Phone for “is this in stock,” form for special orders, mailbox on your domain.
Blog (Business/Store as scoped) Care guides, new arrivals notes, event recaps — only if you will post.
Tap-to-call, hours, services
Retail “services” may include special order, gift wrap, local delivery, workshops, repairs. Label them. Hours must be perfect — retail shoppers punish wrong hours harder than almost anyone. Tap-to-call is for stock checks and quick intent; do not hide the number to force email.
If you close between seasons or by appointment only, say it on home and visit pages.
Photographed scene
Shelf runs, window displays, product details, counter, exterior signage — photographed for HTML. Real product photos matter more here than in pure service trades. We place your photos; we do not invent a catalog of AI merchandise and call it inventory.
Business vs Store for retail
Store — $399 + $79/mo is the plan when the site must carry product listings and catalog structure. If browsers need to scan goods before they drive or buy, Store matches the job.
Business — $249 + $49/mo fits retail that is mostly story + visit + light lists: a showroom that sells by appointment, a maker with a few flagship items and a strong about page, or a shop that keeps full inventory offline on purpose.
Site — $99 + $29/mo fits a clean visit card: hours, map, phone, short “what we sell,” when social and the physical room do the heavy merchandising.
Rule of thumb: if you keep saying “I wish people could browse before they come,” you want Store. If you keep saying “I just need the hours to be right,” start at Site or Business.
Process proof
1. Brief — categories, how many products at launch, price display rules, shipping/pickup truth, photos. 2. AI designs and writes the retail structure for the chosen plan. 3. Preview — you catch wrong prices, discontinued items, and hours errors. 4. Live on your domain with hosting, SSL, CDN, mailbox path. 5. You sign in on your own website at /admin to change pages and photos — new arrival image, sold-out note, holiday hours. 6. Two revisions a month; extra billed; AI tends the pages.
Launch with a honest product count. A tight catalog that is true beats a hundred empty shells.
What we will not claim
We will not invent conversion rates for a composite shop. We will not paste luxury language on a discount bin. We will not pretend Store is required for every retailer. Process proof until a paying client allows a named story with real figures.
Done looks like
- Hours match the door
- Products that appear online exist in the room or in documented special order
- Call path works for stock checks
- Owner updates goods and photos at /admin
- Plan price matches catalog ambition (Store) or visit-card ambition (Site/Business)
If you sell from shelves
Bring a category list and your best product photos. Choose Store when browsing is the point. Choose Business or Site when visiting is the point. WebSmart — Web Smart dot C C — websmart.cc · (347) 625-8553
