Restaurant sites
without a weekend in the builder.
Hours, menu sections, location. We still need your facts.
Hours, menu sections, location
A restaurant site is a door, not a brand film. Hours that match the door. Menu sections that match the kitchen. A map a stranger can follow. Photos of the real room or none.
We will not invent brunch. Site or Business. Store only if you actually sell on the site.
A couple is standing on a sidewalk two streets over. They are hungry, slightly underdressed for the place they just passed, and one of them has already opened your site. In ten seconds they need hours, a sense of the food, and whether to walk or book. If the page is a slow photo carousel with no hours, they choose the place with a lit window and a clear menu PDF.
WebSmart builds restaurant sites as managed, done-for-you websites: practical structure first, beauty second, editable at /admin when the special changes.
Composite scene (labeled composite)
Composite: a typical independent restaurant operator in a U.S. coastal or large-regional city neighborhood — dual traffic from locals and weekenders, a kitchen that already works too hard, a menu that changes faster than the old website, and an Instagram that outperforms the domain.
Composite only. No invented restaurant name as a fake client. No invented covers or revenue.
Pages we ship for restaurants
Home Cuisine in one line, neighborhood anchor, hours, tap-to-call, direction-friendly address, primary CTA (reserve, order, or just come in — whichever is true). Hero should leave room for a photographed plate or dining room in the HTML later.
Menu Full menu or strong highlights with a path to the full list. Mark allergens only with accurate kitchen input. If prices change weekly, say “market” where true and keep /admin ready.
About / story Short. Who cooks, what the room is for, what you are not. Skip myth-making if the food is the point.
Private dining / events (if real) Capacity, how to inquire, what is not available.
Catering (if real) Lead form, minimums if you publish them, service area.
Contact Phone, email path, hours including kitchen vs bar if they differ, holiday note pattern.
Blog or notes (Business) Seasonal menu essays, producer spotlights, closure notices. Useful when you actually post.
Tap-to-call, hours, services (here: offerings)
For restaurants, “services” means dine-in, takeout, delivery, catering, private room — labeled clearly.
Hours are sacred. Lunch vs dinner, Monday dark, holiday exceptions. Put hours where thumbs land. Tap-to-call for the host stand or the order line — if they differ, label both.
Reservations: if you use a third-party booker, the site should still state hours and cuisine correctly on your domain. The domain remains the source of truth for who you are.
Photographed scene
Food in real light, bar pass, dining room empty and mid-service, exterior at dusk — photographed assets for HTML. One honest plate beats ten generic stock feasts. We do not request AI food images as your menu proof.
Business vs Store for restaurants
Business — $249 + $49/mo fits most sit-down and hybrid operators: menu pages, events, catering inquiry, blog/notes, booking-friendly reservation or inquiry paths.
Site — $99 + $29/mo fits a lean card: hours, menu link or short menu, location, phone — when the room is simple and Instagram already carries culture.
Store — $399 + $79/mo fits when you sell retail goods, packaged sauces, merch, gift cards as product listings, or a true online catalog of items beyond “see menu.” If you only need a menu display and inquiry forms, Business or even Site is enough. Do not buy Store to feel modern.
Process proof
1. Brief — hours truth, menu files, photos, reservation rules, delivery truth. 2. AI designs and writes a mobile-first restaurant draft. 3. Preview on a phone while standing (literally if you can). 4. Live on your domain with hosting, SSL, CDN, mailbox path. 5. You sign in on your own website at /admin to change pages and photos — swap a special, fix hours, update a closed-day notice. 6. Two revisions a month for broader passes; extra billed; AI tends the pages.
What “working” means here
- Hours match the door
- Menu is findable in one thumb session
- Call button reaches the right line
- Closure posts can go up at /admin without waiting on a designer weekend
- No fake “award-winning” line unless you supply a real one
We do not invent monthly revenue for a composite bistro. Process proof until a paying client allows a named story.
If you run the room
Send menu + hours + three real photos to start. Pick Business when you need depth, Site when you need a sharp card, Store when products leave the kitchen as retail. WebSmart — Web Smart dot C C — websmart.cc · (347) 625-8553
